Your future responsibilities :

The Vehicles Deployment Engineer is in charge of preparing and performing the delivery and entry into service of EasyMile’s vehicles on customers sites, including the following tasks :

  • Perform site assessment reports identifying possible risks and mitigations for new deployments of vehicles,
  • Catalog customer site requirements and perform overall analysis on new routes to balance safety, comfort and service levels,,
  • On-site setup of vehicles along their routes, and vehicles configuration to include: map generation, route definition and tuning,, software configurations, fleet setup, etc.
  • Interact with vehicles deployment with stakeholders and City or State officials for infrastructure communication (V2I, V2X)
  • Testing and repeated validation of vehicles throughout deployment
  • Perform support tasks, both on-site and remotely, including : Vehicle maintenance tasks : hardware/software diag or testing, hardware/software updates Vehicles setup or software configuration and tuning, to improve on-site safety or service levels,
  • Train customer’s or partners personnel for vehicles operation and maintenance, or vehicles deployment, either on site, or on EasyMile’s premises,
  • Formalise and report feedbacks to the products, projects, or maintenance teams to improve products and deployment best practices.

We are looking for:

Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Robotics, Mechatronics or Electronics
Technically curious and able to learn fast on a number of technical domains, such as sensors, AV technologies, or other technical fields,

  • Able to perform hands on tasks on vehicles, mostly out of the office, work on-site in a variety of conditions
  • Ready to be travelling to customers’ sites 50-70% of time
  • Highly flexible and able to continuously adapt to projects and customers constraints,
  • Prior automotive / robotics / systems integration or hands-on work experience welcome
  • System diagnostics, testing, data collection & reporting experience welcome
  • Service and client oriented, sense of initiative, objective driven
  • Attention to detail and well organised
  • Good communication skills and team player (German level B2 to C2 required)
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and decentralised environment Position based in Berlin, with travels across Germany and Europe.

  • 1 hour meeting with the manager and the recruitment manager
