Job Description

Position details

  • Full time permanent contract

  • Location : Toulouse

Our team is responsible for the generic control-command software, as well as integrating, maintaining, and developing low-level controllers across all our platforms.

As a key member of this cross-functional development and integration team, you will directly drive EasyMile's success. You will own and manage the roadmap for our "Low-Level" Platform Automation sub-system, optimizing platform performance from generic control-command down to actuation. Best of all, you will get to see the direct impact of your work running live at client sites very early in your journey.

Your responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Roadmap Management: Define and execute the long-term roadmap for the Platform Automation sub-system (including Drive-by-Wire features) within the EasyMile autonomous stack, aligning it with company strategy, marketing vision, and state-of-the-art technologies.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Organize dedicated workshops (e.g., story mapping, backlog grooming, event storming) to ensure cross-functional alignment on the roadmap.

  • Backlog Management: Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog to maximize business value and ROI.

Sprint Execution & Delivery

  • User Stories: Refine and detail user stories (including descriptions, clear user needs, and acceptance criteria) and handle final validation.

  • Team Rituals: Lead workload estimation sessions, define sprint goals, and keep the development team aligned and motivated to achieve them.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Identify and proactively manage functional dependencies with other engineering teams.

  • Demonstration: Organize sprint reviews and product demonstrations for stakeholders.

Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Demand Management: Qualify and evaluate new incoming requests from stakeholders.

  • Field Feedback: Gather and analyze product performance data directly from the field to drive continuous improvement.

  • Documentation: Write release notes and ensure high-quality, comprehensive functional documentation.

  • Market Intelligence: Conduct regular competitor watch and benchmarking.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Proven Experience: Background in a similar role (Product Owner / Delivery Manager / Technical Lead) within embedded systems development and integration.

  • Agile Expertise: Strong practice of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban).

  • Languages: Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken).

Soft Skills

  • Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, a sense of compromise, and the ability to unite teams around a vision.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Ability to translate user and field feedback into product value.

  • Method & Rigor: Highly organized, pragmatic, and structured in backlog and roadmap management.

  • Agility & Drive: Reactive, curious, and eager to solve complex technical challenges.

Nice to Have (Desirable)

  • Experience in control-command systems or autonomous vehicle technologies (with a strong preference for the Drive-by-Wire sub-system).

  • Background in the automotive or public transportation industries.
