Job Description

Position details

  • Contract: permanent full time

  • Location: Toulouse (31), partial remote is possible

Context of the team 

You will be part of our localization team, in charge of one of the most critical components of EasyMile’s solution. The localization component provides a real time, high accuracy vehicle position & orientation. By combining and fusing sensor information (lidar, GNSS, IMU, Camera), you will contribute to improve our accuracy, availability and robustness in any kind of environment (indoor & outdoor) or mission (public transport, freight…)

Your future responsibilities :

  • Find, design and implement new approaches to vehicle localization

  • Improve our multi-sensor localization algorithms and architecture

  • Improve localization integrity and availability

Preferred Experience

There is no typical profile at EasyMile, we all come from different backgrounds and that is what makes us strong!

We are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in data fusion tools (Bayesian filter / Kalman, optimization / factor graphs, SLAM…)

  • Hands-on experience with localization/perception sensors (lidars, cameras, radars, GNSS, IMU, …)

  • Solid experience in C++ and Python, data structures, algorithms, and modern software development methodologies.

  • Fluency in French, proficiency in English

  • Competencies in computer vision would be a plus.

  • PhD or at least 3 to 5 years experience in Robotics or applied mathematics.

Soft skills

  • Experimental Mindset: comfortable setting up and evaluating the performance of advanced algorithms and experimentation plans.

  • High level of autonomy, team spirit, and strong communication skills.

  • A leadership mindset is a plus and will help you advance quickly within our organization.

Recruitment Process

  • Meeting with the team, technical tests 

  • One hour interview with the manager and the recruitment advisor
