Job Description

As a part of our Safety team you will participate proactively in development by supporting various teams (electronics, software, system, vehicle platform, etc.) in the implementation of Safety activities in accordance with functional safety standards and internal processes (product development, risk management, etc.) for our autonomous driving solution. 

Position details

  • Contract: permanent full time

  • Location: Toulouse (31), partial remote is possible

As a Safety Engineer, you will:

  • Contribute to the definition of safety requirements and their allocation (including their traceability).  

  • Participate in the definition of the system architecture and formalization of safety concepts. 

Activities:

  • Carry out functional safety analyses at the system and component level (risk analyses, FMEA, FTA, impact analyses, etc.).  

  • Coordinate the production of documentation in accordance with the selected standards, as well as safety reviews, validation of functional safety requirements, and audits.  

  • Participate in the improvement of development and risk management processes.  

  • Manage safety aspects with other teams (development, validation, deployment, etc.) as well as with external customers or third-party assessors.  

Specific Activities:

  • Standard and regulatory safety watch.  

  • Training for internal safety culture.

Preferred Experience

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety of cutting-edge embedded systems? We're seeking a talented professional with expertise in:

  • Advanced proficiency in Risk/Safety Assessment: You will conduct comprehensive risk assessments for embedded systems.

  • Advanced capability in Safety Analysis: You will perform detailed safety analyses, including Hazard analysis, FMEA, and FTA, specifically within embedded systems.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Embedded electronic & software engineering: You possess a solid foundation in these engineering disciplines.

  • Intermediate understanding of Standards ISO 26262 or equivalent: You are familiar with these standards relevant to the automotive industry and ADAS.

  • Intermediate understanding of Standards ISO 3691-4 and ISO 13849 or equivalent: You are familiar with these standards relevant to machinery regulation.

We're seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong blend of soft and hard skills. You'll bring intermediate-level teamwork, communication, and methodological rigor, complemented by advanced autonomy and proactivity. Excellent English and French proficiency (advanced) is essential.
